Net Heating Value (NHV)

Net Heating Value (NHV) is the potential energy available in a fuel sample that is the heat generated by the complete combustion of a unit volume of gas excluding the heat recoveries by condensing the water vapour formed. (Also, called as the Lower Heating Value (LHV), Net Calorific Value (NCV) or Lower Calorific Value (LCV))
